2/28/2026 Creation Batch & Essay
Artists should strive to draw like a child. Confidence, instinct, no hesitation. In this reflection, I explore how early creative certainty shapes my work today, why mastering nature’s rules matters, and why true expression begins when discipline gives way to instinct. This is about reclaiming boldness, trusting the subconscious, and painting without fear.

Dissecting "Holy"
I distinguish between making art and making exhibit-worthy work I’m proud to put my name on. Even though I produce a lot, only a few pieces fully express my message. “Holy” is my model: confident, intentional marks; feminine without strict realism; a confident moment with a hint of voyeurism; and a nod to past masters. I reject critique that hides behind “nature” instead of artistic intent.

This post examines where fine art nudity ends and eroticism begins. Through a focus on drawing the body as physical form rather than symbol, it argues that no nude body is inherently vulgar. The line is crossed not by pose, but by interaction, intention, and narrative.

This post reflects on my belief that true passion is driven by the self, not by external validation. I question whether a passion would still matter if no one else were around, and conclude that mine would. I know I would always continue to paint and draw, regardless of circumstance. I also mention starting two new oil paintings; one completing my “Woman’s Journey As Christ” series and one simple nude, both currently drying.
