Earlier in the year I announced that I was going to do AI collaborations and the result of that has been creating a new X account, @zebslop, and a page on my website also titled "Zebslop". The name stemming from my initials Zach E Bear, and slop, which is the generic slang term for anything AI right now.
I'm still trying to grasp all the logistics of it. These AI models are fascinating and a great tool, but as the art critic, Jerry Saltz, said: "AI can say almost anything and everything. Now we just need to make it say something."
So I need to play around with it some more. Of course I'm still doing my thing, nudity & nature. But I don't know what a "good" AI post is quite yet. I have to work on making it say what I want it to.
I do have an NFT collection dropping soon on Foundation. Not those profile pictures, like Bored Ape, but a series of movies with a common theme titled "Burning Glamour". It combines glamour models and a desolate, bleak background with things on fire! All of it was made digital, I only had a director role in it.
NFTs are a whole different beast, and I'm heavily relying on Gemini, ChatGPT and Grok to give me information on how everything works and what the terminology is.
A lot of this digital stuff seems to be motivated by trends and FOMO, which I don't think really have any place when it comes to art. But as long as I strap in for the long haul, like with my traditional work, I should be good to go.
Going forward I'll probably make two routine posts, my creation batches and then some Zebslop batches. I'm going to refrain from using the same tags for my traditional art and the AI work. This week I included two AI images that I generated for use on my Foundation & X/Twitter page.
If you're interested in any of the NFT/AI stuff make sure you check out my Zebslop page and X account!
The images on this post are not real photographs and do not belong to me. Everything is generated via an artificial intelligence model by prompts and digital filters. Photos are for artistic expression only and any resemblance to anyone, living or deceased, is purely coincidental.
