5/16/2025, Creation Batch

It's been a hot minute since I've uploaded last; sorry!

I always forget the other sides of being an artist, which is promoting my work, making it available online, and striving to sell it. I'll have a huge batch of watercolors up on my website shortly, I'll make a post eventually.

I want to work on painting women with watercolors more, which I hope to focus on in the upcoming weeks. I believe that drawing someone directly from life is going to be infinitely more effective than using photographs, and since I finally have my own models lined up I'm excited!

I bought a handful of Egon Schiele books and I've been reading about him. I also found a copy of Leonardo DaVinci's Notebook to look over. It's quite a joy to read Da Vinci's research and conclusions after months and years of study. It's also interesting to see how inaccurate some of his studies are (only because technology and research has advanced).

I've started work on my next painting, which combines Chapin Park's hills and Spirit Aerosystems looming nearby. A view I'm all too familiar with.
